  2. Stable Swell Heights: Swell heights were remarkably consistent, primarily at 4.6 feet (1.4m) with occasional decreases to 3.6-3.9 feet (1.1-1.2m) in the afternoon and evening.

  3. Excellent Swell Quality: The swell periods remained consistently between 12-13 seconds throughout the dataset, indicating high-quality, well-formed waves with good energy.

  4. Light Wind Conditions: Wind speeds ranged from very light (2 knots) to gentle (8 knots), generally staying within ideal surfing conditions. The peak wind of 8 knots at 10:00 AM on January 1 still falls within acceptable limits.

  5. Stable Water Temperatures: Water temperatures showed minimal variation, ranging from 57.2°F to 57.7°F (14.0°C to 14.25°C), providing comfortable conditions for winter surfing with appropriate wetsuit protection.

The random forest model achieved perfect precision and recall scores because the patterns were so consistent that valid surfing days could be predicted with exceptional accuracy. There were no edge cases or anomalous conditions to challenge the model.

For surfers, this data indicates that January 1, 2025 provided remarkably reliable west-southwest swells with medium height and excellent quality. The best conditions likely occurred during the early morning hours (5-7 AM) when winds were lighter, creating clean, well-formed waves ideal for surfing at Tamarack Beach.
